Hey, I’m Ben. I’m an engineer who loves recreating outside. My primary outdoor activities are hiking and cycling and I can admit to being slightly obsessive about equipment. So if I have a problem, or an issue with a product, my first instinct is to design a solution.
Sometimes those solutions are overly complex, expensive or just impractical, but other times they turn out to be things that other people might actually want. So I offer those here, and get to showcase some of the less practical designs (and some wholly unrelated stuff) on the “Other Projects” page.
While most of my production stuff is 3d printed, I have a pretty wide variety of tools and experience. I can do in house casting, 3d printing, woodworking, cnc milling, and welding. I’ve been selling my products for a while over on my Etsy page here: https://friesengear.etsy.com but I’m also offering my products for sale here to cut costs on Etsy fees (and pass the savings on to my customers) and to have more control over the presentation of my products. Etsy is very insistant about asking customers for reviews though, so if you’re looking for those, there’s a couple hundred of them on my Etsy page.
