Description
Nitecore battery banks while being the lightest option available, have a unique bug (or a feature if you ask Nitecore) where if the button is pressed down for more than 10 seconds, the battery enters a hibernation mode. Unfortunately, the only way to exit that mode is to plug the battery in for 10+ minutes, which is obviously impossible if you’re relying on it as your power source on a trip. Please note that this issue is no longer present with the Gen 3 batteries, but does stil exist on the Carbo series.
So, I made these caps that weight under 1.7g for the NB10000 and 2.9g for the Carbo 20000 out of 3d printed PETG. PETG is a strong and durable plastic with some inherent flex which makes it perfect for a piece like this. They fit snuggly and are easy to remove but will not fall off by accident.
One order includes 2 caps, either 2 for the NB10000, NB20000 or Carbo 20000. They are available in black, orange or glow in the dark, and if there is another color you would like, send me a message and I may be able to accommodate.

The battery cap is great! Fits perfectly. Lighter weight than expected, robust enough to do the job. Would love to see it in glow-in-the-dark.

The battery cap fits tight and snug. I am not afraid it will fall. This resolves a fatal flaw on the NB 10000 gen 2 that can activate a ‘hibernation’ mode inadvertently and block the battery until you can charge it again… not great if this is you power backup in the backcountry! This cap is the best way to resolve this issue as far as i can find. And on top of this, while there was a shipping cost mistake on my order, Ben refunded me without even prompting. So refreshing to see an honest and ethical small business owner. He deserves 6 stars!
